FIRST PROJECT “MY FIRST LADY, YOUR FIRST LADY, OUR FIRST LADY”.
My first lady, your first lady, our first
lady project seeks to gather materials to educate, motivate and urge young
ladies to focus on their education as well as rejuvenate their interest in schools.
We have seen that from records provided from different stakeholders over the
years most young girls from deprived schools are nit privileged to enrol in
schools unlike young boys. Professor Kwagyir Aggrey once said if you educate a
man you educate an individual but if you educate a woman you educate a whole nation.
The advocacy to educate young girls and see their enrolment number increase is also the object of United Nation.
We thus, share in their opinions too since it is even our long term objective
to collaborate with the United Nation in achieving most of its goals that would
empower today’s youth. The my first lady, your first lady, our first lady
project will include the distribution of educational materials like pencils,
pens, exercise books, mathematical sets among others. We will also touch on
other issues such as the welfare of young girls: menstrual cycle, female
genital mutilation, dipo, bragoro etcetera.
Additionally, we look forward to engage Government,
on-Governmental Organizations and other Stakeholders who are operating in our
line if work. Our objectives in this project are to empower the girl-child to
focus on her education in order to develop herself for bigger opportunities,
create the spirit of volunteerism, and help to improve the learning conditions
of the girl-child and many others.
SECOND PROJECT “PAINT FUTURE BRIGHT”.
Studies have shown from several researches
conduct from different part of the world that the learning conditions of
students greatly influence their learning capacity and performance. Hence, this
second project “paint future bright” seeks to improve the learning conditions
of school children in some selected communities. It basic alloy entails the
painting if the school buildings and classrooms with colourful image drawings
to entice or lure the children to stay in schools since children are large
drawn to beautiful things. Our objective in undertaking this particular project
is to improve upon the learning conditions of school children, see an increase
e in school attendance, better academic performance, motivate teachers to
continue impacting knowledge into these children as well as build the spirit of
volunteerism among children.
THIRD PROJECT “PRACTICAL EXPERENCE”
Practical experience project is targeted at
tertiary students. Normally after tertiary education o even well in school;
students are not so much equipped with the needed experience and technical
know-how required by some companies. This project by Generational Thinkers
Ghana is to link students with the corporate world through seminars,
internships and so forth. We believe this would help reduce the unemployment rate
our dear country keeps on facing through the knowledge and experiences that
would be shared by our invited guests.
To do these successfully, we would first of
all organize symposiums and other events were top notch officials from several
companies would be invited to come and interact with participants. During these
events, students who are interested in having internships or attachment with
these companies would then be asked to sign up or register.
