JOY FM'S FRED SMITH ENDORSES JEORGE WILSON KINGSON FOR NUGS PRESS AND INFORMATION SECRETARY FRED SMITH – ASSISTING EDITOR, JOY 99.7 FM Without any hesitation, I’m pleased to recommend Mr. Jeorge Wilson Kingson for the post of Press and Information Secretary for the National Union of Ghana Students as students go to the polls next week. I do this for one major reason. He’s my personal friend and a former colleague at e.TV Ghana. Whilst he worked at e.TV, he showed exceptional dedication to duty. I realized this because I was the News Editor at the station then. This is how we became friends. Since we both left the station for other greater opportunities, I’ve monitored his work and come to the conclusion that he has what it takes to restore any lost reputation of NUGS. As assisting Editor at Joy FM, I have the privilege of knowing why Joy FM hesitates in doing stories relating to NUGS even though the union is one of the most important groupings in our country. The major reason is the division among the ranks of the Union. Jeorge’s dedication and hard work will promote a healthy and positive environment in the management of issues affecting students and education in general. He has the expertise, experience, willingness and the connections to help transform NUGS into a union that all news outlets will feel proud about. As you go to the Congress to elect your National Executives for the next one year, I urge you to throw your support behind MR. JEORGE WILSON KINGSON as he seeks the mantle to become the next NUGS Press and Information Secretary. He has the interest of you and your colleague students at heart. I say YES, vote for him because I’m returning to school this year, and can’t wait to have him as the one communicating my interest as a student. God bless us all.
